What should be clear before a sample is collected?

Ask for a plain-language explanation of what the proposed tests cover and what they do not. A clinician should relate test choice and timing to your history, not simply the number of items in a package.

What should I prepare for an STD test-results review?

Keep every page of the original report and note the collection date, symptoms, exposure dates and medicines. Share records only through the secure method explained by the receiving provider; do not post a report or intimate image publicly.
